Tenderlinks Day Nursery - Godalming
At Tenderlinks Day Nursery-Godalming, we strive to provide a “home away from home” for the children in our care and their families.
Our practitioners are highly qualified and trained in delivering quality Early Years Provision that encourages sustained shared thinking and emotional well-being.
We know that the most important people in a child’s life are their parents, and at Tenderlinks we believe that it is our responsibility to create an essential partnership between the nursery staff and parents from the first point of contact. This helps us to demonstrate vital educational values embedded in our daily provision, such as:
• Having a positive approach or outlook
• Mutual respect
• A value for diversity and what’s makes us all special!
We will promote a safe, nurturing and educationally appropriate environment, where your child can thrive and grow, by continued evaluation of our procedures, activities, interactions, and routines, as set out in the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework’.
The staff co-hort at Tenderlinks works closely with the Surrey Early Years Advisory Service who not only help us to continually assess our provision, but to identify areas of need and develop strategies as a team for ensuring the quality of care our families deserve.

Specialist teacher sessions:
As part of the broad curriculum we offer at Tenderlinks the children take part in weekly specialist led sessions of Forest School with Lee and we have recently introduced Sport with Paul from Pitch Pals.
SURREY HILLS FOREST SCHOOL
Forest School offers children an excellent opportunity for exploration and play. Most activities within a Forest School programme are child-initiated, with the activity going in the direction that the child has chosen.
The child may decide to work independently, developing their own creativity and problem-solving skills. They may however decide to join up with other children and work within a team. This benefits the child's Social and Emotional development as they learn how to work with others, listening and sharing ideas.

Offering a full range of programmes including Early Years/KS1 sessions, School and Nursery clubs, through to Holiday Camps and Events/Parties, we have something for everyone.
Our Nursery programme has been designed to bridge the gap between Early Years settings and Primary Schools, maximising the children's energy and giving them a positive introduction to sport and physical activity. Using a semi-structured, fun-based learning model, children will learn a variety of skills through a range of innovative, action-packed games and activities. We will develop coordination, cognitive and motor skills, whilst encouraging team work, self-confidence and all-important social skills.
The sessions will help prepare children for their transition into Primary Schools and the curriculum they will encounter. Using age-appropriate equipment and incorporating numbers, colours and letters the children will be learning through play and guided discovery''

About our Team
Nursery Manager: Vicky
Hello, my name is Vicky, and I have been working in childcare for 20 years. I studied Educare for two years, after completing high school in Cape Town, South Africa. I moved to the UK in 2004 and after transferring my qualifications to an NVQ4 in Childcare, I started working in Northwest London as a Nursery Nurse. I have had experience in working and leading all age groups within the Early Years as well as experience within a mainstream Reception classroom. I have been trained in various methods of educational approach, such as - The Solihull Approach, Grassroots, and the Feuerstein method. I have a passion for swimming and have also attained a Baby and Toddler Teacher swimming qualification from the STA.
I have worked my way up through the ranks and gone on to manage two nurseries within the Camden borough of London. After getting married in 2017 I moved out of London and was delighted to be appointed Manager of Tenderlinks Godalming. This was a new challenge as it would mean putting my passion for early years education into a start-up setting. I am so proud to say that I have had the pleasure of watching our setting flourish and grow within the Surrey community, in just over three years. We are now well known for our family centred approach, promoting an outdoor learning experience, and doing our utmost to be a home away from home for the children in our care.
