Specialist teacher sessions:
As part of the broad curriculum we offer at Tenderlinks the children take part in weekly specialist led sessions of Sport and we have recently introduced Studio Cultivate.

Studio Cultivate
Kindergarden is an exciting outdoor education program created to encourage Early Years children to enhance, interact with and take ownership of the green spaces that they inhabit. Kindergarden workshops take place in a school’s garden or playground and run twelve months a year, rain or shine.
The programme is divided into four seasonally themed modules, each exploring the world of gardens and the many fascinating living things that occupy them. Weekly workshops are filled with practical gardening activities, story telling, drama and art. Through these varied learning mediums Kindergarden pupils are able to absorb challenging academic content, expand vocabulary, develop fine motor skills, whilst engendering an appreciation of the living world around them.

Pedro Silva
Pedro has a Masters degree in PE and 10 years experience as a sports coach and teacher. He spends part of his week planning and delivering multi-sports sessions in Nurseries and schools around South West London. Sessions take place in our local park or in our outdoor spaces. The weekly sessions include ball skills, racket skills and athletics for toddlers and incorporate other learning such as colour names and counting.
About our Team

Nursery Manager: Sonia
Hi, I’m Sonia and I am the manager at Tenderlinks Day Nursery in Streatham. I have been the manager since March 2021.
Watching a child grow and reach their potential is one of life’s greatest pleasures and knowing that I get to experience this every day gives me a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment.
With a background from Portugal, we have a strong family ethos, this always gave me opportunities to be around children and I guess in a way it was the beginning of my path into childcare.
I have been in the industry for over 19 years, working my way through various age groups and ranks, this gave me the opportunity to gaining experience, knowledge and obtain my qualifications along the way.
I started my career early in 2003 in a small setting in London, I then moved on to bigger settings where I was fortunate to be able to develop my knowledge through education. I began by gaining relevant qualifications which included my NVQ’s in childcare as well as being able to go to university where I was awarded my BA Hons degree in teaching and learning.
To be given the opportunity of becoming Tenderlinks manager is a pleasure, alongside my team we aim to provide a secure and stimulating environment, with the feal of a home from home. We follow the children’s interests and feed their curious minds though various approaches. We aim to give them the best stat to their development as well as their learning journey.
