Specialist teacher sessions:

Kindergarden is a vibrant, year-round outdoor education programme designed to inspire Early Years children to connect with, care for, and take ownership of the green spaces around them. Whether it’s in a school garden or playground, Kindergarden sessions run in all seasons—rain or shine—bringing nature-based learning to life.
The programme is divided into four seasonally themed modules, each delving into the wonders of gardens and the fascinating living things they host. Every week, children take part in hands-on gardening, storytelling, drama, and art, offering a rich and engaging learning experience.
Through this multi-sensory approach, children not only develop fine motor skills and expand their vocabulary, but also explore academic concepts in a natural, meaningful context. Most importantly, they build a lasting appreciation and respect for the living world.
Kindergarden nurtures confident, curious learners—growing their knowledge, creativity, and connection to nature, one season at a time.

About our Team

Nursery Manager: Sonia
Hi, I’m Sonia and I am the manager at Tenderlinks Day Nursery in Streatham. I have been the manager since March 2021.
Watching a child grow and reach their potential is one of life’s greatest pleasures and knowing that I get to experience this every day gives me a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment.
With a background from Portugal, we have a strong family ethos, this always gave me opportunities to be around children and I guess in a way it was the beginning of my path into childcare.
I have been in the industry for over 19 years, working my way through various age groups and ranks, this gave me the opportunity to gaining experience, knowledge and obtain my qualifications along the way.
I started my career early in 2003 in a small setting in London, I then moved on to bigger settings where I was fortunate to be able to develop my knowledge through education. I began by gaining relevant qualifications which included my NVQ’s in childcare as well as being able to go to university where I was awarded my BA Hons degree in teaching and learning.
To be given the opportunity of becoming Tenderlinks manager is a pleasure, alongside my team we aim to provide a secure and stimulating environment, with the feal of a home from home. We follow the children’s interests and feed their curious minds though various approaches. We aim to give them the best stat to their development as well as their learning journey.
